Made 2 motifs for each glove for a total of 4 motifs. Pattern for motifs is HERE. Join as instructed in that pattern and fasten off. You will have a cuff of sorts from the motifs, each cuff comprised of 2 motifs.
Glove portion:
Join yarn in corner ch 3 sp, and
Round 1: hdc in each st and sp around, with 1 hdc in each corner ch sp, join = 46 hdc
Round 2: ch 1 (not a st) and hdc in same st as join, hdc around, join = 46 hdc
Round 3: ch 1 (not a st) and sc in same st as join, ch 1, sk next hdc, *sc in next hdc, ch 1, sk next hdc*, rep from * to * around, and join with sl st in first sc = 23 sc, 23 ch 1 sps
Round 4: ch 1 (not a st) and hdc in same st as join, ch 1, sk next sc, *hdc in next sc, ch 1, sk next sc* rep from * to * around and join with sl st in first hdc = 23 hdc, 23 ch 1 sps
Round 5: rep Round 3 into the round of hdc's from Round 4
Round 6: ch 1 (not a st) and hdc in same st as join, hdc in ea ch 1 sp and ea sc around, join with sl st in first sc = 46 hdc
Round 7: ch 1 (not a st) and hdc in ea st around, join = 46 hdc
Round 8: ch 1 (not a st) and hdc in smae st as join, hdc in same st as first hdc, hdc in ea remaining st around, join = 47 hdc
Round 9-17: rep Round 8 until = 56 sts around
Round 18: ch 1 (not a st) and hdc in this and in the next 15 hdc = 16 hdc - These are the thumb stitches. Join with sl st into first hdc, leaving the remaining 40 sts to work later.
Round 19 (thumb): ch 1 (not a st) and hdc in same and ea hdc around, join with sl st in first hdc = 16 hdc
Round 20 and 21 (thumb): Rep Round 19 = 16 hdc
Fasten off Thumb.
Palm of Mitt:
Round 1: Join yarn to a stitch on the palm (the 40 remaining sts), ch 1 (not a st) and hdc in same st as join, hdc in ea remaining st around, join with sl st in first hdc = 40 hdc
Round 2: ch 1 (not a st) and hdc in same st as join, hdc in ea remaining st around, join with sl st in first hdc = 40 hdc
Round 3: ch 1 (not a st) and hdc in same st, ch 1, sk next hdc, hdc in next st, ch 1, *sk next hdc, hdc in next hdc, ch 1* rep from * to *, join with sl st in first hdc = 20 hdc, 20 ch 1 sps
Round 4: ch 1 (not a st) and hdc in same st, hdc in each ch 1 sp and hdc around = 40 hdc
Fasten off, weave in ends.
Bow Trim:
Take a lenght of contrasst color yarn and weave yarn through the row of hdc / ch 1 at top of cuff. Tie into a bow and trim to desired length.
Cuff of Mitt:
Round 1: At bottom of mitt, join main color of yarn to corner ch 1 space in the Snow Star motif. hdc in each st and sp around, with 1 hdc in each corner ch sp, join = 46 hdc
Round 2: ch 1 (not a st) and hdc in same st, hdc in next 22 sts, ch 3, hdc in next 23 sts, ch 3, join with sl st in first hdc = 46 hdc, 2 ch 3 sps
Round 3: ch 1 (not a st) and sc in smae st, ch 1, sk next hdc, sc in next hdc, ch 1, sk next hdc, *ch 1, sk next hdc, sc in next hdc* and rep from * to * for duration until reaching the ch 3 sp, 5 dc in ch 3 sp, (sc in next hdc, ch 1, sk next hdc, sc in next hdc) to next ch 3 sp, 5 dc in ch 3 sp, join with sl st in first sc = 10 dc, 23 sc, 21 ch 1 sps
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Optional: Using the contrasting color of yarn, work a reverse sc in each dc, sc, and ch 1 sp around, join with sl st in first rev sc, fasten off
Weave in ends.
