Frosty Sparkle Cowl - Free Pattern

Frosty Sparkle Cowl
by Christi @ xtporter
Size K / 6.5 mm hook and worsted weight yarn

In the sample, I used Red Heart Boutique Midnight in Shadow, 1 skein. You will need another skein if you want to make a longer cowl, as I used the entire skein for this one. :) It's so cute. Enjoy~!

Special Stitch: "Berry Stitch" - Insert hook in the specified stitch, draw up a loop, while leaving this loop on the hook,

chain 3 more, yo, and draw through both loops on hook = one berry stitch (BST) made (You can find this and other great

stitches to use from Crochet Stitch Guide by Jean Leinhauser and Mary Ann Frits!)

ch 74, join to work in the round, being careful not to twist

Rnd 1: sc in ea ch around, join with sl st in first sc (74 sc)

Rnd 2: ch 1, *sc in first sc, BST in next sc*, rep from * to * around, join with sl st in first sc

Rnd 3: ch 1, sc in ea st around, join with sl st in first sc

Rnd 4: ch 1, *BST in first sc, sc in next st*, rep from * to * around, join with sl st in first sc

Rnd 5: rep Rnd 3

Rnd 6-17: Rep Rnds 2-5 three more times

Rnd 18: ch, sc in ea st around, join with sl st in first sc, fasten off

You may rep Rnds 2-5 until desired length of cowl is reached, if you would like it longer than the sample. Simply end with a plain sc round.

Drawstring: ch 92, weave the chain through the sc stitches on Rnd 18; weave ends in on each end of tie.
